If you enjoy the eclectic mix of restaurants and special breweries in Indiana, you won’t want to miss the festival coming up in July. The Brewers of Indiana Guild presents the largest craft beer celebration of the season. The 17th Annual Microbrewers Festival will be held on Saturday, July 14 at Optimist Park and Indianapolis Art Center in Broad Ripple. You can expect to find your favorite Indiana breweries, national selections from local distributors, and special features like the Firkin Tent. Combining the space of Opti Park and the Art Center creates a great setting for live music, and some shade for visitors.
The goal of the Brewers of Indiana Guild, is to promote appreciation for the variety and quality of beer produced in Indiana, and support local breweries. They are the driving force behind the “Drink Indiana” public awareness campaign, which encourages patronage of local brew pubs. However, their work benefits a larger community than just the brewers. The Guild also works closely with the arts community to help showcase the work of Indiana’s talented performing artists. You can support the B.I.G. and enjoy a spectacular event by attending the festival. General admission is 3 to 7 pm, tickets $40 when purchased in advance. VIP early admission is at 2 pm, tickets $50. A limited number of VIP tickets are available online HERE.
Patrons must be 21 years or older, and have photo ID.
