If you are looking for a family-friendly event that celebrates the beauty of nature, the 23rd annual Orchard In Bloom garden show is for you. Orchard In Bloom is a partnership between The Orchard School, Indy Parks and The National Bank of Indianapolis. It has raised over $100,000 for outdoor education programs. This nationally recognized garden show has exhibits and activities for the whole family. You can stroll through the garden markets, view lush flowers and beautiful garden accessories, be inspired by the displays of local landscapers and spend a little time making craft items. The focus of the event is environmentally-friendly gardening and living. This year Orchard in Bloom aims to provide its audience with the tools for growing edible plants and produce.
The show will be from Friday morning through Sunday afternoon, April 27-29, at Holiday Park on Spring Mill Road. The cafe will have treats, sandwiches, coffee and more. The Preview Party will be on Thursday, the 26th, 6- 8:30 pm. You can preview this year’s vendors and landscape designs, meet the 2012 Honorary Chairs, sample fine wines and do some shopping.
Tickets for the Preview Party cost $45. Tickets for the garden show are $10 in advance and can be purchased at Marsh Supermarkets, The National Bank of Indianapolis branches, The Orchard School, and the Holiday Park Nature Center. Cost of tickets the days of the show will be $12. A three-day ticket is $15. Children 14 and under are free.
