Welcome to Broad Ripple Village! Broad Ripple is one of six cultural districts in Indianapolis and is about 6 miles North of downtown Indianapolis and 3 miles from Butler University. Established in the early 1800’s, then made part of Indianapolis in the early 1900’s, Broad Ripple has plenty of history and character. Known for its active nightlife, thriving arts and abundant restaurants and local shops, there is truly something for everyone.
The streets are some of the most pedestrian & animal friendly in the city. And there’s always something to do, from the Broad Ripple Art fair in May (a tradition since 1972), live music, farmers market….the list goes on!
Typical homes in the area are bungalows, smaller 2-story & town homes. Homes are on average 900-1,200 square feet and built in the early-to-mid 1900’s. There are a couple of town home developments that offer newer constructed, maintenance free lifestyles.
