This post is part of an Agent Spotlight Series. Get to know the agents who’ll be working for you at Newkirk Realty!
There are a handful of timeless skills that makes every successful Realtor shine, and once you get past her delightful personality, you’ll see Courtney Woodfill has them.
Making things look sharp
One of the new agents at Newkirk Realty, Courtney has three things down pat: how to sell, how to take care of the details and how to create relationships.
Originally from Covington, Indiana her training in cosmetology brought her to Fishers, Indiana where she spent over a decade in the cosmetology business, including managing a salon for four years. The beauty business involves pretty personal sales transactions, similar to buying a home. The scale is different, but the skills to satisfy your clients are much the same. Her desire to make people look their best is something she looks forward to doing with a seller’s home – as well as a buyer’s vision of what their potential home could be.
A perfect path to a real estate career
What drew her to the real estate business? Two things: Her and her husband bought a home in Fishers and flipped it. “I loved that process. I have a knack for refurbishing and decorating, and was able to use those skills in that transaction.” In addition, Debra Foley, a seasoned agent at Newkirk Realty, had been her client for years at the salon and piqued her interest in a career of own as a Realtor. Although this is her first position at a real estate company, she has held her license since 2013.
Courtney has 1 and 3-year-old boys, and the flexibility of a real estate career is a big plus for her. Luckily for her Newkirk clients, a desire to help people and match them to their perfect home is a big plus for them. “I look forward to helping buyers or sellers,” says Courtney. “I especially like the staging aspect of getting a new listing – advising people on how to make their home shine.” Her skill at making people look their best is something she looks forward to doing with a seller’s home – or a buyer’s vision of what their potential home could be.
Her thoughts on being a part of Team Foley, and Newkirk Realty? “Rob is a genuine guy. I liked that he is the owner and he is always there for us. Very helpful and supportive to his agents.”
NOTE: Each of the posts in our Agent Spotlight Series will ask the same question to wrap things up:
